2.  CORPS 72 (2021-...)

An ongoing project in which I’m tattooing numbers and letters in 72pt from a selection of well known fonts:
   1.  Helvetica Neue
   2.  Futura
   3.  Rockwell
   4.  Caslon

The book serves as a flashbook from which people can choose their desired design but it also holds a forever growing collection of analogue pictures of the tattoos.

CORPS 72 refers to the biggest font size used in letterpress printing. The imperfections that come naturally with tattooing reminded me of the imperfections in letterpress. The book shows the huge contrast between a perfectly digitally printed number/letter placed central on the page and the imperfect, tattooed versions.

This is a unique, handbound book. Screenprinted spine by Stanley Verhegge.
